If shopping is more your bag, head to Calle Colón. Here you can find all of your high-street favourites (Zara, Mango, Massimo Dutti, El Corte Inglés). Step off the main street and head to Calle Jorge Juan and Calle del Comte de Salvatierra for trendy boutiques and purchases you cannot find back at home.
Sunbathing
You can’t visit Valencia without taking advantage of one of its main assets: the beach! Did you even go on holiday if you can’t make your friends jealous with a tan? Head to Playa Malvarrosa, Valencia's main beach, to soak up some rays. There are plenty of restaurants on the beachfront but we recommend stocking up on water and snacks beforehand for some pure uninterrupted sunbathing time. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

This hip district is packed with restaurants and bars. The perfect option for a low-key tapas dinner. Our favourite suggestions would be La Tasqueta del Mercat, El Rodamón de Russafa and El Almacen.

For the ultimate bar-hopping experience, the best option is El Carmen. This historic barrio comes alive at night. To start, we would recommend Plaza Negrito. This al-fresco square is full of bars perfect for sipping gin & tonics in an atmospheric venue. If the drinks graduate to dancing, there are plenty of bars with a dancefloor perfect for boogieing the night away. Gecko, Johnny Maracas, and Unic Daily Goodness are all good options.

A hen weekend in Valencia is not complete without a trip to one of the city’s (and the world’s) best open-air nightclubs.
MYA & Umbracle
One of the world’s most beautiful nightclubs, Umbracle is an outdoor terrace club is known for its unique ambiance and distinctive venue. Set in the modern architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences, this club is definitely one of the coolest parties you will ever visit. Lit up at night, it is truly spectacular. Marina Beach Club
Down in the harbour, you have another one of the city’s best parties at Marina Beach Club. This outdoor club is known for its killer DJ sets, classy setting and beachside views. We would highly recommend tardeo - a party during the afternoon and early evening.
